#Volume2

The #Volume 2 is divided in three Narrative Phases using a deconstructive approach that encourages reflection rather than linear storytelling.

  • Phase 1 – Archival Fusion:
Combines Soviet-era archives, contemporary photographs, and magazines to explore the gap between propaganda and reality, especially regarding women’s labor. Influences include Barbara Kruger and Marja Kapajeva.
  • Phase 2 – The Female Body as Diary:
Focuses on the body as a living record of experiences, scars, and traces. Inspired by Marina Abramović’s performative work, it highlights the responsibility of representing both personal and collective women’s histories.
  • Phase 3 – Provocation and Reflection:
Engages the audience through reinterpretations of modern and contemporary art, emphasizing women’s rights, freedom, and resilience. Concludes with a reflection on the ongoing struggles of women in Afghanistan, leaving viewers with open-ended questions about agency, visibility, and justice.
